Russell Child Development Center (RCDC) is a community based, not for profit organization dedicated to serving young children with special needs and their families in Southwest Kansas. The mission statement continues with the following. We provide support, therapy and educational services to enhance each childs quality of life. Early Intervention (EI) services (also referred to as part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) are provided at no cost to the family for infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities.

 

The number of children and the number of staff members involved with the program has risen steadily. The staff includes: early childhood teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, paraprofessionals (English and Spanish speaking), and contracted service providers as needed.
