Learn & Play Project
Learn & Play© is a FREE parent child activity time supporting development in all domains (cognitive, social/emotional, speech/language, fine motor skill, and gross motor skill) with a focus on early literacy.
Groups are help at least twice per month with partnering schools, churches, and health departments in 28 locations across 19 Southwest Kansas counties.
Evidence-based curriculum is part of the program and includes early screening for possible developmental delays. Attendance is free and the groups are open to anyone in the community with children from birth to 5-years of age.
Learn & Play© Parent Child Activity Groups are funded through Early Childhood Block Grants awarded by the Kansas Children's Cabinet and Trust Fund to Russell Child Development Center.
Learn & Play© locations include Deerfield, Dighton, Dodge City, Elkhart, Garden City, Hanston, Hugoton, Ingalls, Jetmore, Lakin, Leoti, Liberal, Meade, Minneola, Plains, Satanta, Scott City, South Gray, Spearville, Stanton, Sublette, Syracuse, Tribune, and Ulysses.
